The Semi Finals will be "Best of 3" just like the quarter finals and the first map will be Hostile Hostel. The loser may choose the next map just like in the quarter finals. The winners will proceed to the Final which will be Best of 5 played in random 4-player maps. Soigge will be the judge and spectator in all the remaining matches and will also record all the games. The other rules (no glitching etc.) will remain unchanged.

In case of disconnection the player with the upper hand winds, but in unclear situations the players will have a rematch. Let's hope we can play the rest of the tournament without disconnections though!


Interesting facts about the Tournament and the remaining players:

- XxPhantom_52xX and M16A4COMMANDO come form group Athena, and H_ZoRo_LastStorm and Abu-23- come from group Shogun. That means all the players from groups Apocalypse and Yuriko have already been outplayed!

- XxPhantom_52xX is by far the only player that has been using Rising Sun in every match. H_ZoRo_LastStorm and M16A4COMMANDO have both used only Allies. Abu-23- is the only player that has played as Allies and Soviets.

- By far we have seen only 4 different maps: Hostile Hostel, Pool Party, Rock Ridge and Burnt-Out Paradise.

- All the remaining players have lost at least one match.

The quarter finals will be best-of-3 instead of single game elimination. The first map will always be Pool Party. The loser of the first round may pick the map for the second round, and the loser of the second round may pick the map for the final round. The first player that wins 2 matches will proceed to the semi finals.

All three matches will be played in one go. There is no exact time when you must play, though. Inform Soigge or H_ZoRo_LastStorm when you are ready to play. The games will be spectated by the same people. The Quarter Finals will also be recorded and eventually uploaded to YouTube.

The Rules

The Official Rules of RA3Tutorials Tournament II UPDATED

• All the matches will be spectated by either Soigge or H_ZoRo_LastStorm. H_ZoRo_LastStorm will be spectating most of the Group Stage matches (Soigge will be the spectator in H_ZoRo_LastStorm's matches) Spectator will oversee that the players will not break rules! Soigge will judge & spectate all the matches from quarter finals to the finals and record them

• No glitches allowed. The most known glitches:
  
  • Peacekeepers shoot through walls
  • Build more than 4 MIGs from one Soviet Airfield
  • Twinblades fall underground / stay on ground after dropping the infantry
  • The wall glitch
  • Cryocopter glitches
  • All the other glitches you may know about

• No engineers drop (which is putting an engineer into any transport unit - Twinblade, Sudden Transport, Bullfrog, Riptide, IFV, Century Bomber - and then dropping that engineer into your enemy's base)

• No MCV push+Engineers (means you can MCV push, but you CAN NOT use an engineer to capture enemy structures by building a Barracks directly next to enemy building). If you don't understand this rule, please ask one of the spectators.

• You are not allowed to sell MCV just to use the engineer to immediately capture enemy MCV.

• Using engineers is acceptable in the following situations:
• When capturing neutral structures, like Oil Derricks.
• If you "walk" the engineer to enemy's base from a distance, you can capture enemy structures. It's not recommended to do that.
• When repairing your own structures.
• When setting up a battle bunker or a tent.
• When putting an engineer into IFV and use it to repair your own units.

• NEW RULE: In case of disconnection, the player with the "upper hand" wins (bigger army, more money = higher chance to win the match). If the situation is not clear, then the players will have a rematch.

If you accidentally use a glitch, you will be warned. If you do it again, you will automatically lose the match. Remember that the spectators see everything you do! If you break any of the Engineer rules, you will lose the match without warning.

From now on this is the official plan for the RA3Tutorials Tournament II and will not be changed unless a player decides to withdraw from the tournament before it begins. If a player decides to withdraw from the tournament AFTER it has started or doesn't show up when a match is agreed to be played, his opponent will automatically get a "victory".

How do we play?

The Group Stage

In the group stage everyone must play one game against the three other players in their group. Group I, for example:

A win is worth one (1) point and a loss is worth zero (0) points. Players can get total of 3, 2, 1 or 0 points in the group stage. Best two players from each group with highest point will proceed to the next round.
If two or more players in the same group have the same amount of points when all the games have been played:

Scenario 1
1. Player X - 3 points
2. Player Z - 1 point
2. Player Y - 1 point
2. Player W - 1 point

Players Z, Y and W have all won one game and lost two games. Since Player X has beaten them all he will naturally go to the next round. In this case players Z, Y and W will play one more match against each other (ZvsY, ZvsX, XvsY) and the player with most points will go to the next round.
In case of draw (all three players with 1 win and 1 loss) the previous step will be repeated until one of the players gets 2 points.

Scenario 2
1. Player X - 2 points
1. Player W - 2 points
1. Player Y - 2 points
2. Player Z - 0 points

Players X, W and Y have all beaten Player Z but lost one match against another player. In this case the players do like in  the previous case: play one more game against each other (XvsW, XvsY, WvsY). Two best players will proceed to the next round (the best player having 2 points, the second having 1 point and the third 0 points).
In case of draw (all three players with 1 win and 1 loss) the previous step will be repeated until one of the players gets 2 points.

Quarter Finals & Semi-Finals

These rounds will be "playoffs" like in the previous tournament - win, and you get to the next round - lose, and you are out.

The Grand Finale

Best of 3, like in the previous Tournament. The first player to win two matches is the winner.

RULES

You are not allowed to sell MCV to use the engineer to immediately capture enemy MCV

However, walking engineers is allowed ( sending a engineer from distance - walking - ) and defending with engineers is allowed too ( in the meaning if someone MCV pushes you and he deploys his MCV next to your barrack you CAN engineer it, although once he deploys his MCV you MAY NOT build a barrack next to it UNLESS you are NOT going to engineer it )

There are more glitches in this game. You are not allowed to use them. Please play this game like it's meant to be played :)

The Group Stage Games: Hostile Hostel or Pool Party - Players decide.

The Quarter Finals: The players decide the map they want to play. It can be any 4 player map. If the players can't decide the map, the spectator will pick it.

The Semi Finals: The players decide the map they want to play. It can be any 4 player map. If the players can't decide the map, the spectator will pick it.

The Grand Finale (best of 3): The Finals will be played on random 4p maps. Yes, completely random :)


Everyone must now be thinking: When does it begin?!

Here is how it goes: H_ZoRo_LastStorm will now create schedule for the first round games. All 24 first round matches will be played within one week after the Tournament begins. We will listen to the players' opinions when creating the schedule.

RA3Tutorials Tournament II

...is coming very soon!

The tournament will be a little bit different from the previous one. This time there will be 16 players split in four groups. All the players will play one game against three other player in the group. Two best players from each group will continue to the quarter finals. The rest of the tournament will be played like the previous one - the winners will proceed to semi-finals and from there to the final, which will be best-of-3 like last time.

The first games will not be recorded & uploaded to Youtube. Quarter finals, semi-finals and finals will be on Youtube. This time the Tournament will not be streamed.
